Maryland Technology Standards for Students

Technology literacy is the ability of an individual, working independently and with others, to responsibly, appropriately and effectively use technology tools to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, create and communicate information.“- Working definition of technology literacy (http://www.montgomeryschoolsmd.org/departments/techlit/)

Maryland has 6 Technology Literacy StandardsĀ for students. The following link can be used to find out more about each standard forĀ Pre-K through 8th grade. It is important that teachers be familiar with these Literacy Standards because they are now apart of the Maryland State Voluntary Curriculum.
